Massage Frequently Asked Questions
What should I expect from my massage?
- At the beginning, the therapist will ask questions regarding your medical history. This information is kept strictly confidential unless asked to disclose to certain parties. To save time, download the health questionnaire, complete it, and bring it in to your first visit.
- During the massage, only the part of the body being worked on will be uncovered to ensure that your boundaries are respected at all times. For abdominal work, a breast drape will be used to cover women's breasts.
- If at any time you feel uncomfortable, let the therapist know immediately.
- After a massage, there may be some muscle soreness. This is normal for any deep work as long as it does not last for more than two days.
- Always drink plenty of water after a massage. Studies have shown that receiving a one hour massage moves as much fluid through the body as taking a seven mile hike.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please understand that your time commitment begins at the moment you reserve a massage appointment. In order to be fair to everyone, please consider your schedule carefully and don't commit to a time that you feel may be questionable. There are times when cancellation is, of course, necessary.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, kindly do so more than 24 hours before your appointment time. You may not substitute someone else for your given appointment time without prior consent from the massage practitioner. If, for some reason, that massage practitioner cancels or reschedules with you within 24 hours, then the rescheduled massage will be complimentary.
